The expiry date for UMF 10+ 250g Manuka Honey is in July, 2020.

All Manuka Honeys is "active" honey. However, not all active manuka honeys contain UMF (unique manuka factor) which indicates the antibacterial potency of honeys.
UMF® Manuka honey is tested for Non Peroxide Activity(NPA), which is exclusive to some batches of Manuka Honey. NPA is a very stable and very powerful non peroxide antibacterial activity that is naturally present. Only licensed packers from UMFHA can market NPA tested Manuka honey to be sold under the UMF® brand. UMFHA is the organization in New Zealand that monitors the suppliers, packers in New Zealand that use the UMF® brandmane and regulates the quality of UMF® Manuka honey in overseas market where UMF® Manuka honey is traded.
Active Manuka honey is tested for Peroxide Activity (PA). All types of honey have peroxide activity. This antibacterial property is not stable - it breaks down when exposed to light and heat and the activity will degrade over time. No organisation regulates the quality of the active honey as it is not stable.
