What is the difference between type J1 & J4? Also why the canister does not show CVT but instead ATF? Reportgo - Answer

J4 is the newer specification of CVT Fluid. It is also compatible with older CVT which was designed to use J1 too. It is recommended that you follow the spec (J1/J4) on your dipstick or car manual. Our canister is a standard packaging we use for all ATF and CVT fluid (1L). The specification of the fluid/oil is printed at the bottom of the canister. So when you buy CVT fluid, the content inside will be CVT fluid despite the canister has the word ATF. Answered Reportgo | hong*************** 04/May/2016 |
