[605315] MozzTech Photocatalytic Mosquito Trap (Indoor) - (MT1002) If I turn of off the power, fan is stopped, can the caught/trapped live mosquito fly upward and away? I don’t plan to turn on the power for the entire night in my bedroom, I thought I can turn on this mosquito trap for 3 hours before bedtime, catch all the mosquito, and I turn off the power. Hi,
It's not recommended to turn off the trap just after 3 hours of usage. It takes time to dehydrate the captured mosquitoes. When the fan is keep running, it dehydrates the captured mosquitoes. Though there's another layer to block the captured mosquitoes from flying upwards but there are times, some intelligent ones might escape. As you placed the trap at one location, mosquitoes could be all over the room hiding.
Thus, it takes time for mosquitoes to enter the trap. If you on it for only 3 hours, some of the mosquitoes might still be hiding somewhere in the room. We normally recommend client to turn on the trap say around 6-6.30 pm & leave it on till next morning. Then, you may turn off after that.

There's no difference in terms of performance between white & black light bulb as both are of the same wavelength that is specifically to attract mosquitoes.
Yes, we do sell both the white & the black light bulbs. 4 pcs for RM42.30 (inclusive of 6% GST) but excluding delivery charge.

Our apology for the late reply.
The main difference between MT 1002 & MT 1003 is the construction of the casing & cable.
- MT 1002 has the snap on casing which is easy to use. If you want to open up the unit for cleaning, no tools required. The on/off switch is on top of the unit. Thus, it cannot be placed in any environment that can easily get wet. This is strictly for indoor use.
- MT 1003 whole unit is secured with screws. To open the unit, you need to loosen the 4 screws to dismantle the top & middle sections. The on/off switch is at the cable itself. This unit can be placed at outdoor area like patio or car porch which is undersheltered. It can also be used indoor.
- The UV bulb is a special UV bulb that attracts mosquito. It can last between 3,000 - 5,000 hours. If you purchase from us, then you can be assured of the same specifications. We can courier the items to you.
- Warranty is 6 months that covers manufacturing defects of the motor & ballast.
