Buku ini meninjau pergolakan politik yang berkisar pada perjuangan kumpulan pendidik Cina, Dongjiaozong, untuk mewujudkan satu sistem pendidikan vernakular Cina yang lengkap serta berautonomi di Semenanjung Malaysia demi mengekalkan bahasa, budaya, dan identiti etnik Cina bagi tempoh 1960–1982. Mendasari perjuangan ini ialah tuntutan Dongjiaozong terhadap penggubalan dasar bahasa dan dasar pendidikan kebangsaan yang mendukung konsep kepelbagaian bahasa dan budaya. Perjuangan ini bercanggah dengan pendirian kerajaan untuk mewujudkan satu sistem pendidikan kebangsaan seragam yang menggunakan bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa pengantar utama demi memupuk integrasi nasional dalam kalangan penduduk berbilang kaum. Penekanan terhadap bahasa Melayu ini dianggap oleh pemimpin-pemimpin Dongjiaozongsebagai mencerminkan aspirasi Melayu, justeru, mereka berasa bimbang terhadap kesan asimilatif dasar ini biarpun kerajaan tidak berniat memansuhkan sistem pendidikan vernakular Cina secara menyeluruh tetapi hanya sekadar menyelaraskan peranan dan fungsinya agar lebih serasi dengan aspirasi nasional. Perbezaan dalam pendekatan ini ditinjau oleh buku ini dari perspektif hubungan etnik yang bersifat majoriti-minoriti di negara majmuk dengan berfokuskan rasional-rasional yang mendasari tuntutan golongan majoriti dan golongan minoriti untuk mengekalkan bahasa, budaya, dan identiti etnik masing-masing dalam proses pembinaan sebuah negara bangsa. Bertitik tolak dari perspektif ini, buku ini menonjolkan reaksi-reaksi yang berbeza, baik secara intraetnik mahupun interetnik, daripada golongan Melayu yang merupakan golongan majoriti dan golongan Cina yang merupakan golongan minoriti terhadap penggubalan dasar bahasa dan dasar pendidikan kebangsaan serta beberapa dasar lain. Buku ini menunjukkan bahawa dalam proses pembinaan sebuah negara bangsa, kepentingan nasional yang mencerminkan kepentingan golongan majoriti mengatasi kepentingan golongan minoriti yang bersifat parokial. Walau bagaimanapun, tuntutan golongan minoriti terhadap pengekalan bahasa, budaya, dan identiti etnik tidak seharusnya ditolak dengan sewenang-wenangnya, tetapi diakomodasikan pada takat tertentu, asalkan kepentingan nasional pada keseluruhannya tidak terjejas. Pendekatan yang bersifat akomodatif dan integratif ini merupakan cara yang wajar dalam menangani isu-isu etnik dalam sesebuah negara majmuk agar konflik etnik tidak berlaku.

How to Request for Cancellation/Return/Exchange
- You can request for cancellation after completing payment and if product has not been dispatched by then, cancellation request is approved and you can receive refund.
But, in case seller has already dispatched product, cancellation request can be rejected. - You can request for return after obtaining product, you should send the product in question to seller.
After seller checks if returned product is flawed, and approves your request, return is completed and payment is refunded. - You can request for exchange if wrong product is shipped, you should send the product in question to seller.
After seller checks if returned product is flawed, seller approves your request, and re-sends new product.
Criteria for Return/Exchange
You can request for return/exchange within 7 calendar days following delivery date. But return/exchange request cannot be made in following cases:
- When request due to change of mind is made after 7 calendar days following delivery date
- When product is used, destroyed or damaged
- When tag attached to product is removed or package of product is opened and product value is damaged
- When sealed package is opened or packaging materials are lost
- When too much time has passed and product value has so decreased that its re-sale is not possible
- When return/exchange request is made for customized product such as hand-made shoes or accessories
- When components of product (including free gift) have been used or lost
- When buyer did not follow instructions included in product
