The DTT Project delivers more free TV channels in high quality sound and visuals, access to Electronic Program Guide (EPG), various subtitles and a HD quality viewing experience for your TV with digital broadcast. In the future, viewers also can access multiple interactive services such as shopping, video-on-demands, subscription and internet services.



WHY DO WE NEED TO MAKE A SWITCH TO DIGITAL BROADCAST?


The government is in the process of migrating the country's broadcasting system from analogue to full digital broadcast. To enjoy digital broadcast, you will need to connect your current TV and the UHF aerial to a MYTV decoder (Type DVB-T2). Alternatively, you can buy a new Integrated Digital Television (IDTV) that comes with a built-in digital tuner.


myFreeview is the brand name given for Malaysia's Free Digital Television DTT services which offers Malaysia's most popular TV and radio channels free of charge, with no subscription fees.



COVERAGE


Digital terrestrial transmission services are now broadcasted nationwide through over 13 transmission towers covering around 80% of the Malaysian population. There will be up to 60 main transmission towers installed by 2017, covering up to 98% of Malaysia's population. Find out if your area is under DTT coverage in the following tables.


The UHF aerial needs to be installed and connected to the decoder's or IDTV's aerial terminal. There are two types of aerials that can receive digital broadcast: 

a. INDOOR AERIAL
The indoor aerial can receive signals within a 25km radius from the nearby broadcasting station. However, not all areas within that range can receive the signal due to physical obstructions such as tall buildings or hills.

b. OUTDOOR AERIAL (UHF)
• Outdoor aerials are the best choice as it can fully receive broadcast signals when the aerial is facing the broadcasting station.
• 'Booster' devices are not necessary for the aerial as not only it does nothing to help but rather it disrupts receiving myFreeview services.

TV1, TV2, TV3, TV Alhijrah, ntv7, 8TV,TV9 and Bernama News Channel (BNC). And new channel will be add from time to time.

        How to Request for Cancellation/Return/Exchange

        • You can request for cancellation after completing payment and if product has not been dispatched by then, cancellation request is approved and you can receive refund.
          But, in case seller has already dispatched product, cancellation request can be rejected.
        • You can request for return after obtaining product, you should send the product in question to seller.
          After seller checks if returned product is flawed, and approves your request, return is completed and payment is refunded.
        • You can request for exchange if wrong product is shipped, you should send the product in question to seller.
          After seller checks if returned product is flawed, seller approves your request, and re-sends new product.

        Criteria for Return/Exchange

        You can request for return/exchange within 7 calendar days following delivery date. But return/exchange request cannot be made in following cases:

        • When request due to change of mind is made after 7 calendar days following delivery date
        • When product is used, destroyed or damaged
        • When tag attached to product is removed or package of product is opened and product value is damaged
        • When sealed package is opened or packaging materials are lost
        • When too much time has passed and product value has so decreased that its re-sale is not possible
        • When return/exchange request is made for customized product such as hand-made shoes or accessories
        • When components of product (including free gift) have been used or lost
        • When buyer did not follow instructions included in product
